An EMC proficiency test (Electromagnetic Compatibility) is a procedure for evaluating and ensuring measurement accuracy and consistency among different testing laboratories. Several labs perform identical EMC measurements on the same reference test objects. The results are analyzed and compared to identify deviations and validate the measurement methods. This ensures consistent and reliable measurement results, supports quality assurance, and helps meet the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. Proficiency tests significantly contribute to the continuous improvement of EMC testing.
In accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, accredited EMC test laboratories must compare their test methods by means of proficiency tests or round robin tests. For this purpose, we have developed the PTE-Series. A PTE (Proficiency Test Equipment) serves as a reference test device and therefore fulfils the exact requirements of the standard, allowing assessments to be carried out without any problems.
